Why Should I Choose The Dairy Goat Formula Range From Oli6?

At Oli6, we strongly believe in the benefits of goat’s milk. Since these benefits include improved digestion, it is certainly a formula many parents look towards if their little one experiences problems such as cramps and constipation on their cow’s milk formula.

There are many reasons why goat’s milk formula is so good for digestion. One of the reasons is the presence of high levels of prebiotic oligosaccharides, non-digestible fibres that remain in the large intestine to perform a variety of functions.

One of the functions performed by prebiotic oligosaccharides is the absorption of water in the large intestine. While this may not mean much at the moment, you need to remember that this water will encounter passing stool. So, if your little one suffers from hard stools, any water encountering it in the large intestine will become softer and easier to pass. Subsequently, goat’s milk formula can contribute to a reduction in symptoms for little ones who encounter cramps and constipation on a cow’s milk formula.

Prebiotic oligosaccharides are not digested by the human body, but they are food for the healthy bacteria inside our digestive system. By giving your little one a diet that is high in these non-digestible fibres, healthy gut bacteria are allowed to grow and contribute to better digestion. It also means there is less room for those harmful bacteria that could cause digestive distress!

Of course, goat’s milk formula is not just beneficial for its digestion-related benefits, as goat’s milk is also a vital source of essential vitamins and minerals. When comparing regular goat’s milk to cow’s milk, goat’s milk contains more magnesium, calcium, vitamin A, and vitamin C.

We must also mention that there are some similarities between human milk and goat’s milk, which is often a reason for mums to choose goat’s milk formula for mixed feeding. While breastmilk is always best for your little one, there can be circumstances where mums choose mixed feeding to ensure their little one gets enough.

Human milk and goat’s milk both have prebiotic oligosaccharides that are quite similar in structure, which could benefit a mixed feeding cycle.

In addition to the previously mentioned similarities, human milk and goat’s milk also share similar levels of amino acids, nucleotides and phospholipids. All these substances are extremely important for a child who is growing and developing, so mums will find that goat’s milk formula becomes a better choice for mixed feeding.
