While goat milk formula can be used as a breast milk substitute, please be advised that breastfeeding is always better for your little one. However, there can be instances where a mum is not able to provide enough human milk or cannot breastfeed due to their circumstances. In these situations, an alternative can be found with our goat milk formula.
What are the ingredients of a goat infant formula?
The benefits of goat’s milk formula are widely known and can be explained by the main ingredient, goat’s milk. Goat’s milk is an outstanding source of vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, calcium, vitamin A, and vitamin C, which are all essential to your child’s growth and development.
Infant formula feeding can sometimes be accompanied by digestive distress, especially when your child has a sensitive tummy. Fortunately, this is less of a worry when you choose Oli6, as our formula contains high levels of prebiotic oligos. These non-digestible fibres can make stool softer and easier to pass, but also feed the helpful bacteria in the gastrointestinal system and may reduce the presence of harmful pathogenic bacteria. Since these prebiotic oligos are delivered via infant formula, they could be beneficial to your child’s digestive health.
Why buy a goat infant formula sachet to test formula?
There can be many reasons why parents choose to purchase our formulapouches and sachets. One of the most common reasons is to give their child a proper trial of our formula. If your child has problems digesting cow’s formula or does not like the taste of their current formula, a couple of sachets from our website enables you to test it out without purchasing larger quantities at the time.
Oli6 recommends a trial over two days as per the recommended transition table. For formula fed babies, you can gradually reduce the supply of the other formula if you intend on switching to Oli6. You can find additional information on formula transition on our website, but we also recommend getting some advice from a midwife to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Please note that the minimum order is three sachets or one pouch. These three sachets or pouch will enable your little one to trial the product suffciently. If your little one tolerates the formula well, you can easily obtain a larger quantity by visiting a seller near you or by ordering the formula on our website.
How to prepare goat infant formula?
Preparing formula can seem quite daunting if you are a new parent, but you will get the hang of it soon! First, make sure that your hands are clean and sterilise all bottle-feeding equipment; this includes the bottle, teat, and the cap. You can sterilise bottle-feeding equipment in many different ways, although the most common and trusted methods are boiling, electric sterilising, and cold-water sterilisation. For more information about each of these sterilisation methods, please visit the relevant information page on our website.
When you have your sterilised bottle-feeding equipment, please add the required amount of water to the baby bottle. Then, add a levelled scoop of our formula, turn the bottle several times, and gently swirl the formula to dissolve the powder. Please make sure the power is completely dissolved before giving the formula to your little one. It is also advised to check the temperature of the formula to avoid burns, You can easily do this by adding a drop of the formula on your wrist, as this gives you a better idea about the temperature.
Please note, formula should never be heated in the microwave; this could cause heat pockets and could cause severe mouth burns for your little one. Therefore, always use the right equipment to warm up formula.
